I love being outdoors - hiking, roaming and capturing life with my camera. I was born in the southwest of Germany and grew up in the Black Forest area. It is up in the mountains and down in the valleys that I feel most at home. Through the lens of my camera, I have come to appreciate the busy streets of Berlin and the outskirts of the city.

As a designer, I am a perfectionist by trade. As a photographer, I go with the flaw. I am always striving to improve my skills, but I do not care about the rules or having the perfect tools. The street is where I can let loose and have fun capturing the imperfect.

I shoot with vintage digital cameras and my little EDC is a Nikon S31 toy camera. My cameras are inexpensive and have an unobtrusive appearance. I enjoy the film-like photos taken with an older camera. They have character and a pretty dirty soul that fits in well with the street life of Berlin. Moments are fleeting and sometimes a blurred, grainy, out-of-focus image tells the story best.

My aim is to document the moment in front of me with authenticity and in accordance with the ethics of photojournalism.

2.35:1 is my favorite aspect ratio, and I have found that most of my photos work best in the widescreen format.

Thank you for your interest. pam
